purpose of fuel filter?
Just Like Title Says. Whats The Purpose Of A Fuel Filter? My Inline Fuel Filter Some Howgot A Hole Init On My Way To Work Yesterday, So I Took Off The Filter And Just Joined The 2 Lines Together.

, uh well to keep gunk, varnish and deposits that builds up over time from entering your motor and causing harm to it. Also to prevent the above mentioned from clogging up your injectors which will make your car not run when you need to go to work resulting in you missing a days pay.

Well I Knew The General Purpose Of It, But Thanks For The Answers. The Car Came With The Filter And Now I Need A New One Does The Local Auto Parts Store Sell Them?

heheheh best answer,altho the injectors do have lil filters on them also,the fuel filter traps much bigger parts.that build up on the bottom of the tank thats why its not good to drive around when your on E

wait MAKE SURE ITS for a electricalsystem and not carbed..you need like a aem one,not a cheap one like autozone sells from fram
