putting a y7 block on a z6 head? help

Default putting a y7 block on a z6 head? help

hi i have a 1994 honda civic i race circle track i have blown 2 motors z6.can i use a y7 block and just put my z6 head on it.if so which head gasket do i use.i usally run 2nd gear on the track and wind it pretty tight any help would be appericated i need to win....thanks

eh, you'd use the z6 gasket, but how do you plan to put a block on a head? jfwy, any way yeah that would work out pretty well those are the proper "mini me's" btw search honda tech theres a ton of info on them.

so they are both 1.6 just swap the z6 block to the newer d16y7 block.will it run just like the z6.thanks again

you might need a different timing belt, im not sure though. You might need the z6 or y7 but im not sure which one.

just use the original cam gear and he wont have to swap belts. but either way i believe they are the same.

This isnt true the cam gear doesnt make the difference the actual height of the head or the thickness makes the difference like I know for the D15B7 Z6 combo the belt need to be changed

i did for swap my homeboy z6 head on y7 block and there not differen cam gear same and u can use ur old y7 belt and u need z6 one 140mm studs on corner near vtec sol and use y7 all bolts studs 120mm...
