Default valve adjustment

I think that my valves need adjustment, there is a ticking-knocking sound around 1500 rpm. I've been told that I need a valve lash adjustment. Now my question is Would I be able to do this myself or should I take it somewhere to get it done? And is there any writeups on this? my car is H23 prelude

The procedure is the same w/ any VTEC engine. Just be sure to use the correct measurement. I'm unsure if the h23 is the same as the b series: .006-.007" and .007-.008"

Listen to you injectors first on idle and see if that is where your noise is coming from...I was about to bring my ls to get everything adjusted on the top end until my buddy told me to listen and see if it was actually te injectors making the ticking sounds and it sure enough was...I mean adjusting the top end is deff. a good idea but check that too cause that may be the only noise your hearing.

It's definatelly not the injectors, I can hear them tick, but the sound that I'm getting is coming from the valvetrain.
