true.. I think this ecu was in water at some point.

But it works just fine.

And I just noticed my finger looks like I have a nub haha

ok to my surprise i opened up my ecu to find this but what does this mean? Is my car runing at full potental up to 6k or what? Is vtec working correctly? and what kind of chip? It has TMS on it with a texas state logo, I think it is a brand name or something with a bunch of numbers and junk. but heres the pics

It looks like a chipped/socketed vtec converted ecu.
Your tach may simply be off, hence the 6k revlimit.
There is no way of really telling without removing the chip & reading the program on it.

wel hold on, is your car bouncing or is your tach not going past 6 k?


whatever the case, i wouldnt trust it and look into getting a p28 or it's equivalent chip by a reputable source.
