CTR vavle spring vs. Stock b16 vavle spring

Default CTR vavle spring vs. Stock b16 vavle spring

Im looking to get some ctr cams for my b16.. I want to know if it would be fine to runs those cams on my stock vavle train... Also is there a big difference in the type r and stock b16 vavle spring?

long as u dont rev past 8200 rpm u should b fine.....thats what im lookin to do on my ls vtec. i want the cams but i dont have the money for the valve train as well......so as long as u dnt exceede the factory redline u should b ok. the type r srpings are lighter than stock as are the type r vavles.....this is what allows it to rev a 200 rpm farther than the oem stuff. the ctr valvetrain also has ti retainers i bellieve. these are the only differences.

stock valve train is fine to 8200.
CTR/Type R retainers are steel
