My msd box is not making noise when I turn the car on and Im not getting spark. I just replaced the msd sci (silver box)with the regular 6a(red box) a few months ago and now Im having this problem again. The motor turns but wont start so I'm guessing the box is bad again....right? I checked the codes and I get a 15 and a 41. But like I said I dont hear the box turning on. I checked all the wires and everything is correct. Has anyone had this bad of luck with msd ignition? 2 bad boxes in under a year. If you have an msd box and you wanna help me out with a quick test fit I would greatly appreciate it. Ill pay for your gas I just want to eliminate the most obvious problem.The 6a is still under warranty so I just need to make sure that it is the box and nothing else. Damn msd.Oh its a 92 honda hatchback with a turboed b16a2 in it.

 

Remove the msd box.
I have seen more problems then good with msd ignition modules.

Install a new stock ignition control module, coil, cap & rotor & be done with it.

 

Thats not the first time i've heard that.

 

1st off, I've never heard a MSD Box make Noise.
2nd of all, What Mtber Said!!!!

I had the MSD Setup in My Ls Integra and had nothing but problem after problem, Then I upgraded to Hondata and everything went to hell.

IMHO MSD is a great feature for larger motors, But for Hondas it's a No Go.
