No, it's 3rd Stage Vtec.

I'm pretty sure the RL only came with a 3.5L or larger...
The D15B comes in two cars...
A 91-99 Civic VTi (EG4) From Japan
...or a...
96-99(OBD-2) Civic VTi (EK3) and Ferio VTi
With the latter of the two having 3-stage vtec.
I'm pretty sure no acura came with a D15b.
If I am wrong, I would love to know...

to my opinion yes i have a d15b in my eg as of now and it runs strong as hell lol makes more power than a stock y8 also but i had a y8 in my 1st ef hatch didnt like it as much as this motor but my opinion g/l

d15b came in the eg 92-95 vx..vtec-e its the same as the d16z6 but diff. cam jdm posedly i bought a full swap like that..its a nice singlecam it has 3 stage vtec in the ecu..nuttin to do with the motor so stop getting ur hopes up guys..

The jdm d15b that came in the 92-95 was only a normal vtec motor.
The d15b that came in the 96+ was a 3 stage vtec which has 2 vtec solinoids on it unlike the normal vtec motor that has 1.
It is not only in the ecu like you state it is the motor itself that is different
The 3 stage vtec is a motor honda made to be both a gas saver and have a little performance aswell. (for a d-series atleast)
