4 questions about b20vtec
what modifications have to be done to do this...
1. which headgasket do i use?
2. does the head need to be modified besides what normally has to be done for ls/vtec?(bowl work for 84mm?)
3. can i use the same ARP rod bolts as for the LS/Vtec (8mm) or do i use the 9mm ones?
4. Since im using a b16 head already tapped for an ls/vtec with dual valvesprings and retainers and type-r cams. the compression will be around 9:1, what compression pistons do i buy to get around 11:1, meaning if i buy the 11:1 compression pistons for the b20b will it be 11:1 compression or will it be higher with the vtec head, (trying not to make contact with valves)b20z with b16 head makes 9.8:1
all help appreciated

Search please.. These topics have been covered plenty of times.
RS machines makes 84mm pistons you can use that are "oem like"
You can use a b20 headgasket with minor modification or just order the golden eagle b20/vtec kit.

Not too sure about most of this stuff. I'm still working on my Frankenstiein myself. I had my motor together for less than a month. Its a B20B block with JDM B16 head. Everything completely stock with ARP rod bolts and I used the Gold eagle B20/VTEC kit that came with everything to make it happen. It runs fine for now...
and use a oem b20 crv headgasket 84mm
as for pistons you will have to buy aftermarket pistons to get that compression"i just happen to have a set very cheap and if any help you need building the motor let me know

To use the original dowels and location with a factory gasket, the vtec head centering holes will have to be opened up/made larger. The holes in the rear of the head, instead of using aftermarket stepped dowles.
