Default K20a2 vs K20a3 block

I have 120K miles on my RSX now and I initally planned on rebuilding the motor for boost shortly. After thinking about it I don't really want to boost a 120K motor car and I also dont want to be without a car for a while so I think I should just purchase and build a second motor and drop it in when its ready. It is hard as hell to find a K20a2 block for a decent price but I can find K20a3 blocks all day. I know the pistons, crank, internals, etc are different between the motors but I was planning on rebuilding the guts in the block anyways. Is there any other differences between the 2 blocks?

Have you searched on k-series.com? My guess is they would know for sure. Do you currently have a type-s? The head for the a3 is different for an a2. Thats the only difference I know of that may hinder your decision. Good luck with the build.

I never heard of k-series.com. I am a member of at least 3 other sites like tamparacing. Thanks for the lead. I do have a Type-S
