Motor Question ???
I have a 91 accord with a f22a4 in it no mods, and as of yesterday it started blowing a lot of oil and smoke out the crack case breather filter on the top of the engine ... my question is is my engine preaty much gone ...

ok... you mean from the crank case? and the breather on the valve cover? how does your oil look? how does the motor sound? how does it run? does it smoke out the tail pipe? when was the last time the oil was changed? let us know more info please that way it may be eaier to pin point your problem

the motor sounds like it always has ... oil change was over do but I've had a small oil leak for about 2 years now so i put a quart in about every 10 days on average. when it started I thought the same thing and immediately changed my oil ... when i started the car after the oil change i could smell the new oil burning and the smoke still persisted. When I drove the car home from work smoking the first time (before the oil change) it seam normal power wise and no odd noises coming from the engine compartment. I don't see any smoke out the tail pipe ether. I have not driven the car since the oil change cause the smoking is embarrassing it looks like theres some thing on fire under my hood when its closed.
The filter I'm talking about is the small hose that connects the intake pipe to the valve cover. I removed that hose because I has getting oil in my intake and installed a small filter on top on both sides.

i would remove the valve cover and make sure your oil return gallies are clear before condeming the motor. you may be keeping too much oil in the head rather than returning it to the pan causing the problem. g/l

Just to a small filter ... its allways been good untill a couple days ago it just started smoking really bad from that location and now as of yesterday when i tured it on just to check it it started smoking out the exaust a lot to ...
