A/c Helpp

I have 98 ek hatch CX that has no a/c and i want to put a.c in it. the car didnt come with ac from the factory. so my question is. is my car wired for a/c. thanks bc having no a.c sucks balls

Look at the dash, if it has controls for ac, it will say so on the defroster/heating/cooling panel.

The wiring may still exist in the harness under the dash, even though it doesn't have the "a/c" dash panel.

Post a closeup pic of the dash control panel, if you will.

A/C can also be wired in to work, but simply, and under driver control
instead of "climate" control.-Bob

It will have everything under the dash but it will most likely lack the engine harness... Check for the harness in the engine bay! It will run under the radiator support (by the hood latch!)

true. chances are you need an underhood harness . its seperate from the main harness and contains a couple relays as well . go to ace's and pick everything out from under the hood, then drop the glove box out and take the center section of duct work out . its simple , you dont have to remove the dash to get it out ! that center section contains a coil you need, you can also nab the firewall grommet at this time .
