Turbocharging is by far the best solution for dollar vs hp.

If you PROPERLY buy NAME BRAND components & assemble a kit which is put together with reliability in mind, a turbo setup is as reliable as any all motor setup.

Ebay, SSAUTO CROME etc.. All of these kits simply suck.

Precision, Garrett, Tial, Inline Pro, Blox are reputable brands to start with.

He asked about nitrous as well, which is a far better "bang for buck" for a mild horsepower increase

I take it back...
Nitrous is the best bang for the buck if you want hp for drag racing.

But... who wants to be relying on a bottle to be full ?
Not feeling the power all of the time is not all that much fun....

IMO supercharging is a waste of time. I have yet to see a supercharged Honda make a good amount of power and run a good track time. Chavez was on his way but he was also using nitrous and if I remember correctly an LHT intercooler
