ok well after getting denied for a loan to get an integra i think imma get a lil cheaper civic(cheaper for insurance in my case)
and either do 1 of 2 things..1 i could part my crx and sell it..and hopefully get 3000 total..save up another 1500 order a k20a2 for the civic OR..i could pull the motor sell the tranny and whatever else i dont need ie shell motor mounts ecu dist etc and put the forged internal lsvtec into the civic and boost that...

which would you do? if i do the k20a2 it will be all motor..im looking for probably an ek coupe to do this too...

if i stick with the b series..what all will i need to swap into the ek? obviously a hydro trans but do i need mounts/linkage like on the ef swap?

If money is a problem, i would probably stay away from the k series and look at more "budget friendly" builds. Threads like these are always going to get a biased view because everyone thinks that their setup is the best

Either way, you should expand a little on what you're shooting for, what is the car going to be used for, what is your budget, how much do you want to spend, power goals, etc.

 

idk as far as budget..its goin to be a daily driver but i want an 11sec daily driver..i already have the built lsvtec..but all motor k20 would be nasty too..i think ill do the turbo so itll be easier to hit 11s and cheaper....

 

to put a b-series into a EK. u need a B16 rear braket. ie 1999-00 si its like 60 bucks from the dealer. u also need linkage. if u have ne more ?'s pm'me bc i have a LS in a EK so i have done ek b-series swaps.

 

i would say bseries also very cheap easy to fix and will be very happy...build a nice lsvtec and enjoy

 

already have the nice lsvtec hehe..so ill probably do that..unless i trade it for something else..i just need a new car but need to have a plan too..

nope i only build the best : o ) i sold my 99ex to buy a shitty ass 94 integra just cause its cheapper to buy used and build nice but then again thats me...do what ever you feel you will make you happy dont look back!!

 

tru tru...well i cant afford to build the best..but the motor can definitely be boosted and take a good 350whp or better..but im also talkin to someone about a trade..so i guess we will just see what happens thanks for help..repping
