Radar guns

OK tech guys, now that we can buy sports radar guns, good for clocking out to 1500 feet, for $40, has anyone ever tested as to whether these will set off an automotive radar detector?

Has anyone tested the results of clocking a police car heading toward you from the front, and the possible effects to the reading of both cars, if both his radar is on, at the same time that your radar is on?

Does anyone see the potential here? What do you think?

If I can actually buy 2 radar guns for $80, anybody want to put up half on the cost to see if the 2 guns will affect each other?.....and maybe to see
the effect that police radar will have on your "sports radar" gun?

If nothing else you can clock cars at the track, and "sports radar"
may be a legitimate reason to own one........................

before ya go doing that I remember a mythbusters episode where they tryied everyway imagineable to mess with police radar...IIRC they never came up with a way to do it. This could've been something they missed tho. I'd be up for it wasn't 'busted' on mythbusters. and I don't have a license so we'd have to conduct the experiment in my area on some back roads.

lol yeah i saw that episode.... it did bust .... they tryed wrapping the car in foil... tryed painting alll chrome or ne thing shiny flat black... thats funy tho.. let me know if ufigure out a way

Yeah...I don't think they tryied anything close to what bob is suggesting. Bob what are you speculating will happen anyway??

I experiment with a lot of things. I cannot say what the results will be.
Unfortunately, the source for the radar guns has dried up for now.

..................and btw mythbusters fakes the evidence, as well as using faulty logic....... -Bob
