brakes lights don't work!!!!!
ok time for a whole new problem honda guys. i was planning on installing my steering rack tomorrow morning to cure my other problem ( https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/h...gra-front.html) but now it seems i have a whole new situation which is kinda getting in my way of fixing my original problem!! (if that makes sense?
)
for people that dont want to read the whole story below, here is the main info is V V V V
problem: no brake lights
checked:fuses, all good
checked:bulbs, all good even swapped out for different ones just to be sure
checked:brake light switch, its good, even swapped it out for a known working one
problem:still no brake lights!!!
ok so i got off work this evening and went to my friends house for second to check out his new turbo teg. i go to leave and i have no brake lights. this is around 8.30 when i noticed it. so i figured, hey no problem, prob just a fuse since none of them worked. checked the fuse for the brake lights and horn (there on the same circuit) the fuse was fine, horn still works, its getting power. ok, next thought, maybe a corroded bulb is shorting them out and causing them not to work? nope all clean and no bulbs blown either. so last thing to check was the brakelight switch. i have replaced many of these things in honda's, i would almost say its common. so i pulled it out and grabbed the one out of my buddies integra (same year, same model, worked in his car) well that didn't fix it either. just for the hell of hit i even put mine in his and tested it and it was still good. and after all that i still have no brake lights!!! its now 1.45 a.m. and i just got home after my friend gave me a ride. so if this doesn't make sense, im fucking tired. fix one thing, something else goes wrong.
any ideas?

well, see thats what i thought it was at first. when i got the it had nismo fluid in it. we all know that not right, needs jdm fluid. so i drained the shitty nismo stuff out and put in jdm, or what i thought was jdm. turns out the guy sold me some shitty usdm shit
. yep, fried all my bulbs and and they havent worked right ever since. they blink really slow and use alot of fluid. but i finaly overnighted parts from japan and the right shit. ill never make thst mistake again.

i figured if there was a short i would be blowing fuses/fuse. but im thinking loose wire somewhere or something. i have a fairly lous system in my car and maybe it rattled something or idk. im fucking with it right now, im about to trace all the brake light wires through the car and see what i find.
your 100% on all the fuses working? Check the ground wires carefully on the taillights... ive seen many of them rust out in that spot...
Do your headlights and rear driving lights still work? or are the rear lights totally out? If there working, you can always just turn the lights on when you slow down during the day time, LOL... your screwed at night though....
At least you still have a sence of humor about it all... LOL if my shit was broken and somebody said something like that, I would have flipped out.... lol

yeah, theres always kids like that on here. its something you just have to deal with when you post or start threads. you have to expect dumb shit like that. just laugh and move on, if you flip out thats when your on their level.

ok, yes all my tail lights work, blinkers work, headlights work, everything works like it should and nothing is out of order or acting funny. and yes all the fuses are good, i checked them with my bad ass test light got. to add to that just in case the test light was lying to me i pulled every fuse one by one and looked at every single one. all my abs fuses are good, under dash fuses are good as well as my underhood fuses.
ok fixed the problem last night, but not the right way
ok wel thats it for this weeks edition
of.......fix!!!!.... that!!!.......integra!!!!......
next week we will be installing a steering rack and replacing outer tie rods while were at it!!! stay tuned!!!
