I think a mod on turbod16 is fixing to break into the 9's with a d16z6 car.I know he's trappping over 140 and making over 500hp.Yea the numbers some of these sohc guys are making on suzuki vitara pistons is pretty impressive.Like burschur said when asked what he thought about toyota's 2jz being in his class "shut up and step it up"

 

As long as you take the right steps the SOHC can be a great engine. I just took my boys STI to a guys house to get some stuff puton and he had a built SOHC sleeved and pushing about 400hp with a turbo a little smaller then a t3/t4.

 

Single cams are the shiznit. Theres nothing like beating a B or a K series with one.

When they find out my singlecam turbo four door stomped there swaped hatch...priceless.

 

Yea beating a car is fun, then they ask you what swap you have... then you say sohc turbo.... non vtec. Its the best

Yonke has been through a lot to get where he is. Talk to him about it He didnt simply slap in ONE set of pistons and make the power

 

If the turbo was "a little smaller" than a T3/TO4 he was feeding you bullshit or you misunderstood his turbo size (various wheels, covers and turbine housings for the T3/TO4). Mike Yonke's T3/TO4 60 trim T31 was barely making 400whp
