Exclamation Need 97 Civic Help!!!!!

HI,

I have a 97 Civic LX Sedan, the A/C compressor is bad, and is making lots of noise, and sometime stops spining and the belt grinds on it, now I dont have the money to buy a new compressor right now, but I was wondering, the AC compressor has its own belt spinning with the motor, sperate from the alternator, and power steering pump, so with that in mind, can I just remove the belt for the AC compressor so that the engine wont spin the compressor? Would that be ok untill I get a new compressor.

Go to a parts store and pick up a belt for a non a/c model for your car. That'll get ya through till you get some cash to fix your compresser...

Don't take life so serious. It's not like were getting out of it alive anyway.

The a/c compressor has it's own belt.
He simply needs to remove the a/c belt by cutting it off or actually removing it.
