Angry 95 Acura Noise up front, and another thing...

Alrighty, so here we go...

1995 Integra SE auto, 144,xxx miles on it. Runs excellent for how much I drive, and haven't had any problems with it until now.

When I turn the car on, starts up normal. If I have the A/C on, or turn the A/C on relatively near startup time, I get a whistling or high whirring noise coming from what sounds like the engine bay (NOT IN VENTS). It almost sounds like a higher pitched version of the power antenna being broken but still trying to go up. If I turn the A/C off, it goes away.

If I let the car run a little and turn the A/C on, most of the time the sound won't be there, and the A/C runs fine. Even if I'm driving and the A/C is off though, sometimes I will hear the noise again for one or two seconds. The car isn't driving or acting any differently, and I checked the belts/lines and can't find anything. CV's were brand new as of 6 months ago, just had wheels put on and rims serviced about a month ago, so it's not there. I want to say around the compressor, but it works fine! This just started a few days ago...

Also, I seem to be losing brake fluid somewhere. I can't find a leak in the lines, nothing on the firewall or near the fluid reservoir...and no puddles on the ground! Brakes are working fine and stopping quick, e-brake seems to be working fine as well. Rotors don't seem to have any fluid on them, but I'm replacing fluid every month or two! It's cheap but driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance to any help!

Also, what's the best mixture to fix yellowed-over Integra front headlights to make them clear again? They are pretty damn caked...

if your not finding puddles or splatters or even resedu on other parts of your car you may be loosing fluid due to evaporation. Hows the heat where you are???
As for your A/c I'd have the Compressor checked out.

get under the car and have someone pump the breaks and look for a leak, check the banjo fittings especially.
- Autozone sells headlight restoration stuff, or you can use a high grit sand paper.
