You need something (crank pulley holder from Moroso) to hold the crank. A breaker bar. I think it's a 19mm. Someone correct me if I am wrong. May be an 18mm

I took the Clutch off(Have the motor out of the car) stuck a screw driver through one of the holes to hold in place and used a breaker bar to crack it loose.

19mm...or 3/4" but the 3/4" is somewhat loose which isn't good. Take off the flywheel inspection plate from bottom of tranny, have someone hold a flathead screwdriver in there to jam it and then with a 3 foot breaker bar...break it loose. It WILL take effort to get off even with the 3 foot breaker bar. Threads on it are the same as a normal bolt NOT reverse.

i have done it a few ways

take it to or if it was still in the car drive it up to a repair shop and give the guy 5 bucks and he will break it loose and tighten it up enough for you to get it off later

use a chain wrench around the pulley and use the ground to hold it. then use a breaker bar. i didnt have an impact last time i did a timing belt and this is the methos i used.

the usa tool truck that comes to my work every week has one on his truck. everytime i step in its right there and i almost buy it cause i know im gonna end up needing it. i have his number and you can call him and meet up with him. alot cheaper than buying it from honda

or if you bring it to my shop tampa in tomorrow, ill be there all day and i can break it loose for you

i used one of those too. i borrowed it from a buddy of mine that works on tractor trailers. it was bad ass, like a jackhammer with 2 huge handles on it. i tapped the trigger once and it was off.

yeah a 3/4 impact gun should take that baby off in a matter of 1 second. lol. If not, then damn... just get a new pully for the new block.
