Default power issue?

it started last wed when i left amazon hose and hit the rr track really hard .mt stereo started cutting in and out and my temp gauge started fluctuating and my tach doing crazy things. so at night time when i turn my lights on they dont even work unless i tap the gas and i have full power for that split second. so i checked the alt and it was bad so i bought a used one from someone on tr and tested it before i installed it and it was fine. i installed it and the car still did the same thing its tuesday now my tach and temp gauge work fine now but my lights are still messed up and i cant start my car if i turn my fuel pump on first it doesnt have enough power, i have to start the car then turn the fuel pump on. and if the car is off and i turn the pump on you can barely hear it and its a 255 pump in a gutted crx. when i drive at night sometimes everything works fine then other times the lights or a bitch along with the whole dash lights. the pivot bolt did come out of the alternator and i had to order a new one, would that play a role in it, the alt belt is tight i didnt touch any wiring either

That's a tough one to peg unless you just go from start to finish on the electrical system. Kind of a dumb question but did you check tha battery?

Battery voltage sounds low. Could be just the battery or alternator is not throwing it a charge due to faulty alt or bad electrical connections.

take it to autozone or discount auto, they will check both for free. If they are good, look for loose wiring on your main power lugs and grounds.

The First Time I Took It To Discount They Said The Battery Was Good And The Alt Was Bad Thats Why I Put A New Alt In. And What Are The Power Main Lugs? And Im Adding Another Ground From The Tranny To The Chassis

Ok So I Just Came From Discount And My Battery And Alt Were Good. What Could I Have Knocked Loose After Hitting The Rail Road Track That It Would Cause This Problem. My Terminals Are Tight All The Wiring To The Battery Is Good

i had a problem something like this ..minor i guess compared but sometimes when i would get on it the power would drop and the lights would dim and vtec wouldnt engage..then all of a sudden power restored vtec worked and i was gone..hehe...anyway it ended up being the main realy under the dash..the connection was really loose and when i went to remove that panel (in my crx) it actually fell out..so i plugged it in and never had the problem again..
