Default The New Frankenstien Swap! Omg!

Well, the integra that my friend and i put together is getting ready for a serious heart transplant. WE are yanking out the 97 B20, 60-1, 280whp turbo setup. and putting this motor together for it.

It a K24A1 9.6:1 compression, 87mm bore, 99mm stroke block.
With a K20A DC5 type-r head, with dual valve springs/ oem type-r retainers and type-r cams.
we havn't decided on the tranny/clutch yet, but we have the sidewinder mani for the 60-1 as well.
we are looking to hit 460whp with basically this setup and k-pro in his 94 integra.

The pics are as of now with the block and the head ready for some cleaning and re-assembly. if you have any other ideas, other than the ideas from "stoopid fast", POST 'EM UP YO! -nathan

Im pretty sure Onix's car was tuned and driven on race gas. I wouldnt push the stock block to hard if you want it to last.

When looking for a tranny, an ep3 5spd. is going to be your best bet for f/i. The gearing is almost perfect and with 24.5in. slicks, you can get it up to low 140's in 4th. And for a clutch, I'd look into cmpetition clutch's. They have awesome products for a really good price.

As for onix's car, he pushed it to the very limits and if I remember correctly he had a gt35r on it. Either way your setup should be alot of fun and capable of 400+whp. Good luck and keep us posted.

Don't they have a video on youtube of an accidentally 41lb boosted k24 that blew apart? That thing was sick for being stock. What is a good daily driver boost level on these K motors?

^k20: i'd say around 10-12, k24:around 10 because of the huge stroke. both of which are ok for dd that is mostly stock

The EP3 trans is a very nice FI trans but Im only seeing 135mph on my 24.5 slicks but my red line is 8200 rpm. on a k20 you could see140 traps w/ a higher redline.
