i cant tell the difference in the heads plez help! how can i tell them appart?

d 1.5.dpfi(dx)-------d 1.6.mpfi (Si)

 

the 1.6 vtec head will have a spot for the pressure switch. 1.5 will not

 

the quickest way just by even glancing at the thing. Just look for the vtec solenoid.

 

If its a jdm D15B vtec head its the same as a D16Z6

 

He is talking about a non vtec 88-91 1.5 and 1.6 si...

I know about vtec ya cant miss um. but the 1.5 and 1.s have the same v/cover so i cant tell the diff

 

I think the ports are alittle bigger and the cam profile is better in the si...

 

theye're the same but with diferences lol
but yeah, the 1.5 has a pointer on the plastic back peice behind the cam gear to line up the 1.5 cam timimg , and the 1.6 doesnt because you line the other 2 cam gear lines with the top of head surface. i dont know exact specs, but cam profile is diff too.
