Default Motor cleaning question..

I am just curious to what would work to clean a motor while it is out of teh car, like the heavy dirt, dust, grease, oil ect, the blacked caked up stuff, what works the best with the least amount of work, i thought to pressure wash after degreasing but well, where would i do it at, my neibors would shit if I did that...how should I clean it

exactly what i have always used. minus the brush. but i guess if its bad in some spots a brush would help but the pressure washer should take of it for sure. or if you dont have one take it to the car wash at night like the guy above said. i always pressure wash my engine too when im washing it at the car wash. just to get all the dust and shit off. works great

The car washes I go to, have grease traps and use recycled water.
The pressure blasts off the caked-on dirt.-Bob

If you use the tire cleaner crap at the car wash place it usually melts the grease off... I usually spray that on then pressure wash, and repeat as necessary.
