Default Lowering Question

We are getting ready to lower the EK, and need some input on what setup to use. It has LS Mesh's on it and is used as a DD I put about 100 miles a day on it and want a good ride. Input is greatly appreciated

Whatever you do, which ever set up, buy new shocks. Lowering on stock shocks = blown ass shocks. And thats just no fun.

Tein and Hotchkis make good coilover kits, Id go with them.

OMG has good advice about getting good shocks when you lower a car.

A person who's car is lowered with *bad* shocks to start with, will usually blame the cut coils for the car getting beat up.
------------------------
When I lower a car, I precisely measure the suspension before I work on the OEM coils.

If you want to verify personally, by riding in a car with cut coils, that my cut springs are NOT flopping around, suspension is NOT getting beat up, and the tires are NOT being eaten, get back with me. It could be a fun ride.

Plenty of people use Tokico and Eibach, as Dangelo says. If you need installation help with whatever you decide on, I can help there also.-Bob

Koni yellows and Neuspeed springs. I loved that set up on my EG, EK, and RSX.

How low do you want to go?

IMHO Tein, H&R, or Neuspeed springs with KYB or Tokico Blue Shocks should be suitable for what your looking for.
decent ride quality and fairly priced.
just make sure that whatever you do end up dropping the car at, if it's 1.75" or more from stock.........A camber kit is a must unless you like going to tires every 4k to 8k miles.

Now do you wanna go:
Sport = Under a 2" drop
or
Race = 2.25" to 2.5" drop
