Default brake question

hey I have a 93 hatch and I need to get new brakes all the way around. Im already getting some gsr front spindles with gsr brakes for the front, but what about the rear? some people have told me the rear isnt that important, but is this true? what would you guys suggest me doing to get some new rear brakes?

change your your brakes if they are worn. the only thing is that the rear does not hold as much as the front.

leave the rear alone, just put new parts in and thats it. most of the stopping is done on the front brakes

If you can already lock up the brakes, they are good enough. I would do a tire upgrade (cheaper) to stop the lockup.

Adding additional weight of bigger disks, when tires already lock up, gives
a 4-flywheel effect in my opinion, and takes longer to stop a car.-Bob

Dont be stingy get new brake shoes on the back its cheep and you can do it yourself with very little skill envolved. It also never hurts to just clean them up, i dunno if civics have self adjusters but you could just adjust them out if you are that cheep.
