alright, so ive got some major vtec probs.. after vtec kicks in at 4800.. it hits hard and cuts out, and comes in as it pleases.. idk whats wrong.. i checked the oil and yes it was low but i topped it off just so it would stop doing that.. but it still would'nt work properly.. im gonna be doing a full oil change in the coming days. I know everyone says its the oil but i topped it off.. so feedback would be awesome! thanks..

Get an oil pressure gauge and monitor your oil pressure at these loads and/or inspect the VTEC solenoid and it's screens

I had that same issue. My problem was in the engine harness wiring to the distributor. I had a obd0 converted to obd1, and I just had a bad connection.

Since you believe its the oil. Maybe your not getting the correct oil pressure in vtec because the pump is faulty. How old is it? Just a suggestion.
