Cheap Engine safety mod.....
This is something that i'd suggest everyone with a forced inducted or high comp n/a motor that is running a stock fuel rail to do. In this pic below you can see the fuel rail from my motor and the stock fuel pulsation damper in my hand. The fuel pulsation damper does just what it sounds like it does it dampens fule pressure spikes to help maintain a factory smooth idle. When they are working correctly they pose no problem. When they fail they will cause a severe drop in fuel pressure under load. If this happens while driving and you don't pick up on it via a wideband it can cost you a motor. In the pic you can see that I already removed the threaded stud from the stock rail. It was kind of a bitch to remove. I ended up having to tack weld a pair of vice grips to the stud to break it loose. I'd imagine a good pair of vice grips plus a little heat from a small torch should also do the trick. (please flush out all gas first with water before trying to use a torch).

Here is a pic of the adapter fitting to buy. It can be bought for about $6 at Amazon Hose.

Here is a pic of the same fitting installed on the rail with a stainless line. It is the same thread size as the removed oem stud, 12x1.25 to -6AN adapter.

Here is the pic of the custom stainless line amazon made for me. It reused the oem banjo and adpted to the -6 stainless line. Cost was about $30.

Other bonuses to doing this is that on the fuel rail side you now have a much better flowing conection that before and you don't have to worry about a $5 fitting taking out a motor. The downside is that the idle might not be quite as smooth but this is really only for modded engines that don't idle like stock anymore anyways. In all reality you won't notice a difference in idle quality if the tune is good.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

we just need more people with the knowledge he has and is willing to share it with others and go through the work of putting a write up, pics and cost's with it all
I'll try to keep this up and do a couple more things. If it is alright with Ian I'll take pics and do a writeup on a differential install when I do his.
