So my son's del sol idles poorly, and after a couple seconds the check engine light comes on. When the service connector is jumped, it doesnt flash any codes, the srs light just blinks continuously. The car is running realy rich, it smells like fuel and there's black stuff comming out of the exhaust.
Our first thought was possibly a bad map sensor causing it to run rich, We checked the voltages and the map sensor seems fine.
We took the ECU to John Vega, he plugged it into his car, and it ran fine.
Really stumped here, doesnt seem to be the ECU or the MAP sensor. Car was runing fine a couple days ago, it sat for about a day, then when we tried to start it it was doing this.
My son went out and drove it, it doesnt go into limp mode or anything, just runs rich as hell.
Anyone have any ideas?
