Default Please help, loss of power steering/poss timing belt break?

Driving home from work tonight I heard a snap and then all the lights in my dash lit up and I noticed i didnt have any power steering, I immediaitly pulled over and popped the hood and noticed the two exposed belts were not spinning, and the car was making a rattle type clicking noise. The fatter of the two belts felt loose but not broken from what I could tell. I had the car towed to a shop but was wondering if anyone had any ideals what it couldve been. I didnt have a chance to pop the valvue cover off maybe tomorrow I can.
Its a 2000 H22 Prelude Thanks guys

Tensioner is most likely broken, that would be what to look at first if you say the belts are not broken. Obviously if they are worn make sure you get new ones.
Good luck

if you say the power steering belt went bye bye then most likely the altenator belt is the onther one that is loose causing your caer to die cause the battery was not being recharged. look into the tensioner issue also.

Was the car turning over after this or would the lights flicker and make that rattle noise when you tried to turn it on because if it didn't turn over then it was most likely what Old Renegade said

as long as it wasnt the timing belt, which it for sure doesnt sound like it was. then its really not a big deal most likely. those belts are cake to change
