GSR head. Smaller combustion chamber (= more thermodynamic efficiency, ie power, compression ratio notwithstanding), and better quench areas (= better detonation resistance).

i beg to differ. dyno charts are not always accurate. there are a lot of things that affect the reading. if a tuner wants to, he/she would be able change little setting here and there to give false # just to appeal to some people.

Steeper intake port angles on the gsr give it more potential if it is going to be ported but it isn't that big of a deal. I'd choose whichever head had the better looking cam journals, if they are both worn about the same, I'd take the gsr. Swap in the better rocker arms out of the two and use the gsr lost motion assemblies if the b16a head is a first gen.

Yup. I forgot to mention that one, too. Higher intake ports = less sharp turn to make to enter the cylinder.

i say go with the b16 but that's just me.every head is different so backing your statements up with dyno charts and flow charts doesn't mean shit.the only way to really test it is take it to the track.
