VTEC not working

Default VTEC not working

sorry i searched but nothing. I have a mini me swap y8 head. vtec is not kicking in. im kinda new to hondas but i heard they have to be grounded. is that the ground wire from the engine to the front radiator support? because mine is not attached and the oil level is good.

Yes I would ground the wire (but that doesnt have anything to do w/ the vtec)

Give a little more detail about the swap ie:
1. Did you do the swap?
2. What ECU is in the car?
Does the Speedo work? (for the retards who are curious as to why I asked this; B/C if the speed sensor is broken, the Speedo nor vtec wont work!)
3. Has it ever worked in the past?
4. Who wired it?

yes it has to be grounded and make sure that your vss is plugged in , and did you wire the vtec correctly - which im betting not

what make and model is the car and when you did the mini swap did you take the oil plug from the top of the block because if not you have no vtec

i did not do the swap some idiot did it. i have a gsr CPU and yes the vtec did work before even with the swap. the speedo works and is a si speedo and was usually hitting at around 5.5 rpms. now it just keeps going no kick. its a y8 head with a 94 bolck i cant remember the model. its in a 98 dx civic.

vss-vehicle speed sensor -its a cable that goes from the gauge cluster to the back of the transmission
