when u bought freon.it should come with a little gauge...
that gauge should tell u the enough amount of freon to
put in...did u get your whole system vacummed??
i just intalled the whole system too..and got it vacummed
and refilled by a autoshop..i know i can refill the freon myself
but i want to get it vacummed ..cause freon will last longer and
it will keep ac cooler for a longer time...

When installing an ac system that has been open you always wanna replace the dryer if possible but you aleays want to put a vacum on it it removes the moisture from the system and it allows your system to work longer. I would recomend always getting you system charged by a professional shop, because even though i like doing things myself im not gonna drop 3k on an ac machine that willl do a mesured fill and give a vacum before that to prolong the life of my system.

Oh and your problem sounds like a leak causing the low pressure sensor to not allow the compressor to engage Its a safety feature of these systems.
Like I sayed its just easier to leave this to a professional well trained individual unless you wanna drop anywhere from 3-5 k for a machine to do it the right way.

ps: b16avtec good to hear it works. You will be nice and cool this summer then . did you get your dryer replace?
