saw the setup for phantom and was definately not feeling that one. kaaz, i do not care for the idea of a cluctch type diff. for one heard that you got to use a special tranny fluid that negatively affect your gears and two the discs will eventually wear after some time and will need to be replaced. quaife seems like as good solid design and the price a good solid expensive price.

just go to a shop that sells engines and trannys and get one there. IMO, you could spend $500 on a tranny already with lsd that u know is gonna function properly because its OEM spec, and most of the time the tranny is at 70k or less, and to a honda or acura thats nothing, and with the way some people go through 2 or 3 different cars a year mileage really isnt an issue. or you could go out and buy just an lsd for 300-500$ and have it either break or you're not satisfied with it.

Maybe for all motor, but for boosted apps OEM diffs suck... I grenaded an ITR diff at under 300whp on the 1-2 shift on drag radials....

yeah but, the quaife's have a way of throwing you left and right down the track. Instead of both wheels just locking up(like a clutch type) the quaife gives the power to the wheel not spinning(as much). They constantly give the power form the left to the right and back again all the way down the track.

so you saying clutch type diffs are better than the obx\quaiffe type diffs? also what about the special tranny fluid that you have to use with the kaaz\clutch type diffs? hear the mess your gears up after awhile.

Mr. Yonke just put an OBX diff in my car, but I've only got got about 100 miles on it so far, so I can't really comment on it's performance yet.
