ok im doing this for alot of people so here it goes about 3 guys not including a guys acura at a stop light are reving up to a range or 2000 to 3000 rpms then back down to idle then up again over and over ones on a b20 another is a d16 and also another d16 and a acura legend wtf is making it do that im about to buy the b20 car and wanna know so i can fix it when i get it and answers get at me by posting or pming me need to know so i can help some guys and myself out

 

it might be the idle air control mine did that too

 

iac seems to be the first thing id check. they get dirty and could stand a cleaning every now n then.

it can also be the throttle position sensor.

 

ight ima check them both out maybe clean em and then get back at ya

ya tps would b the second thing id check....if that dont work then um...could b a vaccum leak or somethin electrical.

 

just curious, but if it was a vacuum leak wouldnt it do it from the start? i know my teg does it, and its after like 5 or so mins

 

if its a vaccum leak ud have a funny idle from the start....(i believe)

 

could also be the fast idle intake thermo valve. check on H-T for the diy on how to clean it.
