Default 91 ls type r header Q?

b18 ls in a crx leaves little room for a custom header unless the front frame is cut.the ls stock header works without cutting.id like to put a header on the motor without cutting and wonder while the jdm type r header is oem maybe it will be close enough to the block to where i wont need to cut the frame.anyone know if the oem type r header will fit between the frame and block without cutting on the frame in a 91 ls crx hf?

i dnt think itl fit the ls head. every where i c them listed, the vtec headers are sold seperate from the ls headers. but im sure it would fit in there. if u get a 4-2-1 header from somewhere (dc sports, obx, etc...) it should clear and u wnt have to cut anything.

don't cut the front crossmember !!! they warp and twist as soon as you do, if you need to you can always buy a aftermarket front crossmember that takes up much less room and is lighter.

I had an 88 with B16 and I ran a 4-2-1 because of this reason.

Stay away from the DC sports ceramic header, they do indeed crack, it happened to mine after a couple years. they are made from a mild steel rather then stainless, stainless is a much better quality steel. don't listen to people when they tell you "ceramic is better cause is makes the exhaust cooler bla bla bla" you want stainless. I would recommend a Comptech like renegade suggested

ya ceramic is bullshit. only thing u need cooler ex. temps for is high output boosted engines or diesels. if ur goin all motor dnt worry bout that. ur exactly right about the stainless headers being better. u get what u pay for thats for sure. comptech is a good brand. so is spoon and mugen (if u can afford it).
