Hey, what distributor would I need to use on a miniME swap with the following:

1998 D16y7 bottom end
1995 D16z6 Head

Someone mentioned that I'll need a 95 z6 distributor with the internals of my 97 y8 dizzy. Any information is greatly appreciated, as the dizzy on right now is ghetto as hell.

 

what kinda car is it in and what obd?

 

It's in a 97 civic OBDII

 

obd2 non vtec dizzy, i think, idk if an obd1 would hook up right.

I dont know the answer but it would make sense to use the same dizzy as the head

 

you need a z6 distributor and the female y8 plugs off the y8 dizzy. cut the z6 ones off and wire on the y8 plugs to plug into obd2 harness.

 

head is z6 so use the z6 dizzy & the car is obd2 so convert it to obd2. Im not sure if another dizzy has the same tabs as the z6 but the dizzy are the same insideit is just the case that is usualy diff.

why are you running a z6 any way? its like asking for waaay more headache than its worth, i was dumb and did a y8 on a b7, hello "mcfly your an idiot!"
