type-r head???

Default type-r head???

if its recomended to upgraded your valve springs and retainers on a b16 head when changing to type-r cams if i have a type-r head and wanted to change to skunk2 stage 2 cams do i have ti upgrade the springs and retainers on the type-r head ?

It would recommend it, I know with the stage 1's you dont have to but I'm not sure about the stage 2's

skunk 2 reccomends u upgrade the valvetrain with the stage 2 cams

they are but not by much, I would rather save and get the stage 2's....or stick with the ITR cams rather than spending money on stage 1 cams, just my opinion....g/l

to utilize the full potential of the stage 2 cams, you'll want to upgrade the valvetrain and adjust the redline on the ECU. adjustable cam gears and a dyno-tune will help too.

specifyin ur set up might help us to determine what is in ur best interest...if u have a type r head..getting cams to me isnt worth it..u already have a bad ass head..but what block are u using..sticking to all motor?..the most beneficial thing to me would be puttin in higher comp pistons..i think it would yield higher hp gains and excluding installation would cost the same...unless you can get some oem pistons that are higher comp then whatever you have..

stage 1s are fine buy those and then a nitrous kit with the extra money
