What is the best swap for a civi 4 door. I mean a drop in and go swap and dont give me nonna of tha "how deep ya pockets go crap" drop and go baby. And if u wanna ad a bang for ur buck. EX= 1,000 will get you.... Ya feel me. This is for all the newbies that dont know how to do there own research or like me who do do the reasearch but dont really understand all the terms and lingo whas what etc etc... So any information im thankful for.

like he said z6 is the best bang for your buck and it will still run with ls's if done right ive got a z6 and i can walk away from my boys two swapped crx's ones a b18a1 and the othr is a b16a just depends on what you do to it mines all stock with bolts on's and sfc-vtec controller lightweight pulley and p28 with a adj fpr in a crx its all about power to weight ratio the ls's are still hevier no mateer what so i say a sohc vtec is your best bet and there are still a ton of them around and a ton of parts out there just my 2 cents

 

You know this question can't really just be answered like that. I think you should understand terms before undergoing something like this. Just my $.02.

 

well thats what im asking for, like what is a z6? i have no clue im looking for somthing in depth but simple like imports for dummies. That why i joined tr to learn and network. I have madd respect for backyard builders that had the intelligence and determination to do something different. Im not jus looking for a easy button im looking for a starting point. the average cat out there dosnt have 30,000 grand to just drop in somthing hell is hard to scrap up 3,000 at times, this is a passion. alot of us newbies just need a starting point. back to the original post what is a z6 how many horses does it put out how much tourqe is a good base motor that you can build on top of and get more out of and if ,so how much,for how much. thank again guys JDOCK
