Did you take out the spark plug wires? did you crank the motor when it was off timing? How are you setting the cam gears?

ya i accidentaly did turn the motor over out of timing. yes i took the spark plug wires out. i have had my friend tell me that the front cam gear arrow should be straight up and the back cam gear quarter to the right but i did some research and it says they should both cam gear arrows should be straight up???

put the #1 piston at top dead center and confirm it with the timing mark on the crank pulley. Cam gears chould both be pointing up/up

if its at TDC the crank pulley is lined up right, make sure the spark plug wires are in the correct places

you are saying you have the cam gears right, but it's not clear what your notion of right is - yours, your buddy's, etc.
#1 piston at top dead center and both cam gear facing up/up and the two facing center alignment marks on the cam gears should be aligned facing each other? Yes or No. If no, you have to fix it.
