do i drive a DSM?
so my mom goes to get out of her civic and the damn door handle decides to not work, how can i get it open?
i'm going to try and take the interior cover on the door handle and see if i can open it, its an EJ coupe EX
any help is appreciated

i can't get the panel off, i took the 3 screws around the speaker, the one at the handle, and the other at the little cup thing, it also sucks working in the dark and then trying to work on MY car at the same time...ugh, hondas are so damn picky...

all the hondas i have done you gotta give it a little tug. sometimes the little clips that hold the panel on are bitch but just feel around and make sure you got all the screws out and then just pull on it, it will come off for sure

you have to pull all around the outside of the panel, it has little clips that pop in and out, stick your fingers between the panel and the metal. once all the clips pop out, then lift up on the panel.

you must not have read, the door WILL NOT OPEN!!!!!!
meaning the lip thats around the panel is shut in the door, i can't get my fingers in there, i've taken it off before

in that case use your imagination, you might have to fuck up the panel to get it off. then buy a panel off someone on here.

you cant open it from the inside either i take it? i know i know dumb question but hey you never know? or coat hanger or slimjim it? or a locksmith might be cheaper than a door panel.
