no shortcut, no, BUT he wasnt built. and im sure honda didnt build the single cam intending for it to be boosted. So in a way, yes, there sort of was a shortcut. And before you try to jump down my throat im friends with derka and i love the single cam

 

was not trying to jump down your throat! iam also freinds derick i see every other day and also worked on both the hatch and the four door i gave that kid so much respect for doing what he did with a single cam and the total outcome of it 238whp wow just stating that he did not shortcut it

 

The car didnt blow up. I just lifted the head gasket. I know honda didnt intend the car for boost. The car lasted a year making that power. I think it got plenty of use. I was anything but easy on the car. It did me well. I could take the easy way out, and just replace the head gasket and call it a day. But i will build it, stud it, and replace it with a better gasket. Boost and a 100k + mile engine is like playing with fire. But i like messing with the car and dont mind spending the money to play. So it blew up, now i will build it

 

ya well the hatch was a bad lil single and it will only be better than we'll have to run them after ur done cause ill prolly be done at bout the same time coupe w/boost vs hatch with boost = sick race call me if ya need any special tools for ur build
