Default Brake lights won't go off!

Can't figure this one out!

Car has been sitting for about a week since I haven't had a chance to get to the alternator belt yet.

Went into it yesterday to pull out my headunit to sell, disconnected the regular adaptor/amp plugs/radio antenna, took about 30 seconds, didn't have to cut any wires. Went and sold the headunit, and when I came back the brake lights were on...wtf?

Got into the car, tried messing with the brake pedal thinking maybe it was stuck, but no luck! Never had this problem before.

Did I hit a wire somewhere just right or something? Any help would be great...

+1...

Just reach your hand down there to see if it is stuck. If not then youll prob just need to pick up another one.

Well, this may sound strange, but when mine wouldn't go off...

Where the nipple of the brake switch hits the pedal to ground the circuit so it goes out, well, the nipple wore a hole in the pedal!

Got a small piece of metal and JB welded it to cover the hole. Now the lights go out.

I have never seen it before on an Honda, but might want to check it.

OK! Thanks for the advice all. I looked under there, and on the brake pedal bar is a yellowish rubber penis/needle (couldn't think of another way to describe it) looking thing, that keeps the brake switch pushed in when not being used.

When the brake pedal is used, the button is released, and the lights come on. It's a very small piece too, about the size of the tip of my finger (no jokes...)

Any clue where or if you can get a replacement part (if anyone has done it before), or I might just try and make a makeshift device. Or hell, even just the name of the thing - the Brake Pedal Button Penis Needle...
