Default Yet another car wont start thread

Alrighty i did a search but didnt help. Ok saturday night i was leaving a friends house and had no problems, stopped at a gas station and when i got out the car would not start. when i turned the key it just did nothing, no clicking no noise at all.tryed smacking the starter but didnt help. push started the car and that worked. everyone told me it was the starter so i put a new one on today and still have the same problem. thought it was clutch switch so i bypassed the switch and still nothing, checked all the fuses and was still good, tried jump starting it and did nothing. i called my friend who is good with honda's and he was stumped. anything else that i could try or check?! i need this fixed!! oh its a 91 integra with a ls if that helps at all

If you have the power running to the starter, tried to jump it and nothing happened, givin the starter is new as you said, you have no ground. Run a set of jumper cables from the battery to the starter and hook it up to the power lug. Then try to jump it over. If this works you have a problem in the wiring. Make sure you have a ground to trans or it will not start...

check the ground from the starter, to the chassis, and from the trans to the chassis. make sure they have clean conduits(sp) and go from there,

so yeah, thanks for the help everybody,i checked all my grounds and they were fine so i was stumped.than my friend im'ed me tonight and brought something to my attention and yeah, i accidently didnt do the clutch bypass just right and after my friend showing me the right way to do it it fired right up. so a brand new starter and test light and hours of confusion/aggravation and it was a simple clutch switch gone bad anybody want to buy a used starter for a 91 integra? still works fine
