starting problems

Try jump starting it bc if the starter is bad u wouldnt be able 2 jump start it....

tryed that didnt start....seems to be the starter selenoid not letting the gear come out far enough...if so my buddy needs a new starter

try hitting it the starter with a hammer or something hard then try to start it. It used to work on my ranger, and my protege. never hurts to try.

them starters are not cheap....

yea we hit it with a wrench when we were on the side of the road and tryed the wire trick and both failed...we're friends with ppl that work at napa and advanced so we can get the starters a little cheaper...i hope...or might just get one from someone on here if anyone has one

it sounds like the starter gear isn't functioning properly it might be coming out, but not enough. that would cause that little bit of turn that you are getting.
try a new starter.
As for the random dieing.... i would have had to be there....

Well u can take it apart and clean the connecters inside sometimes they get corrision build up......it happened 2 my girlfriends car she has a 98 corrolla and i was going 2 by a new starter and i said what the hell let me take it apart and try cleaning the connecters it was her dads idea and that was 6 months ago and its been wking since if not what kind of car do u have i met have one laying around

Sorry man i dont any starters 4 that car but try cleaning the connecters that sounds like thats ur problem good luck with that if ur buddy ever needs anything let me know i wk at a Honda shop i wish i had a starter 4 him.....we have lots of parts at the shop so hit me up if u guys r ever looking 4 anything
