Default need favor from ek coupe brothers!!!

I got the car running finally, but I'm having some vacuum troubles.

I found a diagram online for a d16y8, but for some reason its wrong.


I have a z6, with a y8 intake manifold, in an obd2 car, so anyone with a d16y8 in their ek coupe should have the correct vacuums hooked up. If tomorrow you could just check your engine bay, and tell me where the hose from each nipple goes(including the one on the TB)

also, does anyone have an obd2 o2 sensor clip i can have? i have a universal o2 sensor, and need the clip to wire it to. thanks.

i got a male side 4-wire O2 plug in my hand. its yours.

as for the vacuums... i had a Z6 in my EK at one point... im pretty sure i did this:

TB vac = blocked off.

big nipple on back of IM = brake booster
little nipple on back of IM = EVAP purge plug/valve/sensor/thing
big nipple on front on IM = went to black box on back of block (i think)
little nipple on front of IM = fuel press. reg.

that should do it i think... lmk if u got any other probs... and PM me about getting this O2 harness.

The z6 is wrong though, because I have a y8 intake manfold...so i have 2 big nippes on front of intake manifold(one of which goes to the sensor on the fuel rail, then from the other side of the sensor i have no clue). then I have the TB one going to the charcoal cannistor? and the small one going to the FPR...but there is also one on the back, and i was told it was cruise control?

1) im in gainesville till the 9th, so i can mail it to you if u want... otherwise ur waiting till i get back for spring break

2) i switched my Z6 mani for a Y8 in the parking garage at school... hooked it all up the same, worked fine...

-the OBD2 cars (civics, anyway) never came with a vacuum fitting off the TB, so either cap or plug that one.

forgot to mention - the EVAP charcoal canister should have a vacuum line that comes up to the IM, and the purge valve/sensor should be at the IM somewhere... one side of the purge valve goes down to the canister, the other goes to the IM.

ok, i have the TB hooked up to the charcoal cannister right now. ill cap that.


i think the evap purge you're talking about is the sensor on the fuel rail? because that has 1 line going in from the IM..


and where do you get those vacuum plugs?!

ALSO..on that shot with the y8 and z6 next to each other showing the cruise control one on the back... with the y8, you have an open nipple..do i block that one?(its next to the coolant line or whatever)

does it matter which nipple on the front is capped and which goes to evap?


as it sits right NOW, i have throttle body blocked, one of the front nipples blocked, the little nipple on the back blocked, and the nipple i questioned about^^ blocked. Then i have the fpr, and one of the nipples goes to the sensor on the fuel rail(purge), and then THAT goes to charcoal cannister.

Does it matter if they are blocked air tight? should i take some soap or something and find out which one is leaking? I noticed an electrical plug that goes onto the charcoal cannister has a wire pulled out..would that cause a surging idle?
