Default Skunk2 i/m on a gsr with P72 ecu

ive been told once i put the Skunk2 i/m on the gsr motor with the p72 ecu im gonna need 2 have the ecu tuned . is this b/s ? wut problems am i lookin 2 see ? lmk techs thanx

I would also like to know this... I have heard because of the dual butterflys you will need to chip the ecu... ttt

you dont "have to" get it tuned but anytime you make a major modification it is beneficial to adjust the fuel and ignition maps to optimize performance.

I had my car tuned with the stock GSR manifold, then got the Skunk 2 Pro and had it retuned. There is almost no difference as far as the tune went, but noticeable diff in performance. As 99B16Si said, dont lose sleep over it. But if you are running a stock ECU it may be a different story.

so is this like a $250 tune than mtber would do ? or is there a different method as far as a tune ? lmk

Not to change the subject... But out of curisousity does replacing the stock intake manifold on a 94 GSR with a skunk2 delete the fitv on the manifold?
