Default Boosting a D Series

How much boost can you safely run on a completely stock D15b7? Will the stock ECU recognize boost? What kind of things should i be aware of? Thanks for any help.

the map sensor will go nuts if it see's boost but if you get a missing link you should be ok and either tune it or just throw an fmu on it at least. you should be good around 6-8psi depending on the turbo and how long you want it to last. lol

you can run up to 11 lbs on stock map sensor without a missing link. Then after that i would just wire a 3bar. Forget that missing link crap. I dont see why 8lbs is alot. As long as it is tuned. I plan on bumping mine to about 11 soon. Ive been on 8-9lbs for almost a year

No. B series map sensors are 7lbs.
D series are different, and go anywhere from 10-13lbs depending on tolerances. Mine was 13.

What is a 3 bar or 2.5 bar map sensor or an aftermarket map sensor used for?:
An aftermarket map sensor is used for forced induction vehicles which are to be tuned over 11 psi of manifold pressure. The factory Honda map sensor only supports up to 11 psi of map pressure.

Yea good question. So anything under 11lbs and the stock MAP sensor and ECU will be fine? Ive heard that if the stock MAP sensor see's anything above vaccum, it wont run right at all. So would you guys say that 8-9 lbs would be fine? And i mean COMPLETELY stock, just a T3/T4 turbo, manifold, wastegate, FMIC and all piping, and a 3"exhaust. No tuning or FMU's. Oh, and what about injectors? Will stock work with 8-9 lbs?
