SOHC STR Block Guard
Anyone on here runnin' a block guard on their sohc-t? I'm goin' to be finishin' up my project here in a few weeks, and just gettin' some supporting parts together. Is there a significant difference in sleeve protection when using one of these? Boost levels won't be too high on the stock motor. (d16y5 block with a y8 head) But I want the option there to crank it up a tad if need be. Any logical/useful responses will be rep'd!

i myself us azrace in 99% of my builds sohc and dohc but you should only install b4 your getting it horned or bored

it's recommended so that the block does not lose it's shape the cylinders will be perfect if you install it then bore/hone it but it's only recommended it's not a necessity. i mean really all the b/g does is keep the floating cylinders stable so they dont walk on you and break the sleeve loose. g/l (all in lamens terms)
