Im looking for a nice smooth, good ride quality shock for my civic sedan. I Already have nuespeed race springs. I was looking at the new skunk2 shocks. They are pretty inexpensive. But i think they are rather new. Has anybody used these before? I am looking for a nice ride more than performace. Or do you have an suggestions for a good cost effective shock? These are the shocks i was looking at Robear Racing. SKUNK2 SPORT SHOCKS: CIVIC 96-00 (SET OF 4)

i rock skunk2's, but the all red ones. i forget which ones, since its been 2 years.

its obviously not going to be as smooth as stock, but its definitly not harsh or ridgid as some shock/spring combo's are.

what do you thinks the best way to lower a car heat the springs, by new springs, or coilovers

never heat the springs. slip on coilovers tend to be bouncy. the best way would be with a full coilover setup. struts and spring. preferibly adjustable. i cant afford a full coilover so i use tokico white struts and skunk2 drop springs.

obviously, the (typically) more expensive option, coilovers, will perform the best and give the best ride...

but if u are on a tight budget, some lowering springs and decent shocks (ive had KYB AGX's for 6 years, no probs) will do the job just fine.

however, you may want to check ebay, as i saw some omnipower combo sets, with camber and LCA's for a pretty reasonable price.

Those S2's look similar to KYB gr2's in color with the pretty Skunk2 sticker. That was my first thoughts when I sall them.
