EX Tranny Trouble ASAP

Default EX Tranny Trouble ASAP

hey, i just put an ex trany and d16y7 into my 92 four door and i was wondering if i would be able to reuse my axles from the d15 and tranny it seems the drivers side axle reaches but the one on the passenger side is either to short or not fittin into the tranny, could someone please shed some light on this one for me

sohc axles are same either manual or auto trans....did u use all of ur d15 motor mount brackets? was ur car manual to begin withm or auto to manual swap? also what is ur trans code.....s20/p20 or s40? ive heard of people using EK chassis trans into eg's and having to put 1 EK axle in......lmk

yes i used all my motor mount brackets, my car was manual b4 and the tranny now is manual the code i believe is Pl3/B000 or PL3/A000, i really cant tell you, the kid told me it was an ex tranny but i have no idea if he's right or not... but basically ur saying i would have to use an ek axle lmk b4 i go buyin, and thanx for the help

Just did a EX tranny swap today and the stock axles work fine.

this will tell you what tranny it is. the SOHC VTEC trannys had "B000" stamped in a circle on the transmission casing (not the clutch housing) next to the passenger axle seal, if i remember correctly.

oh, and the two pics in my post of that link dont work, i deleted em, sorry... but its pretty self explanatory.
